This Should Bring Us Back
Led Zeppelin are about to reproduce their 2003 live album, How the West Was Won, but Jimmy Page said more live recordings will come.
In a recent interview, the legendary ax-slinger said a new archival live project is set to be released this year, and more will come.
“I can’t give the game away, but there’s a recording that’s another multi-track that we’ll release. It’s so different to all the other things that are out there. It’s another view compared to How the West Was Won or The Song Remains the Same. I’m looking forward to people hearing that. There’s a lot of stuff to come out, a number of releases. I’d like to say that they’ll be coming out over the next 10 years. There’s more to come for sure.” – Jimmy Page told Planet Rock
The question of a band reunion is likely impossible, “I very much doubt it,” Page said, but he did praise how he and the other two surviving legends collaborated on a special book commemorating their 50th anniversary that’s set to come out in October.
“I’m really pleased that we’re all doing it collectively, because there are so many other people doing books,” he said. “There’s about 10 that I know of that are coming, which is pretty ridiculous! It will be really good to have an authoritative book, where the band are actually contributing to it rather than being ripped off.”
The 15th-anniversary edition of How the West Was Won, which is a compilation of highlights from a pair of concerts in 1972 that Led Zeppelin performed in Southern California, will be arriving this 23rd day of March. In addition to the three-CD set, it will have its first appearance on vinyl as well as a Super Deluxe box inclusive of a DVD and a book featuring Led Zeppelin’s unpublished photos.
