All The Times The Beatles Were Arrested

There’s nothing really surprising when we talked about the Beatles history of arrest. Nothing serious, no fights, riots, and no hard drugs. 

But just a rather youthful rebellious attitude, and we all went to this stage, of course. Here’s our look at All The Times The Beatles Were Arrested:

 

Suspicion of Arson on November 29, 1960

Paul McCartney and former drummer Pete Best were arrested on suspicion of arson. They were accused of burning a wall in an attempt to create a makeshift candle out of an unknown object at their room provided by the club owner of the Kaiserkeller club in Germany. They were deported from Germany the very next day.

 

Cannabis in a Binocular Case on October 18, 1968

Sergeant Norman Pilcher wrecked his name when the head of a drug enforcement group in the U.K arrest Donovan and members of the Rolling Stones. And on Oct. 18, 1968, raided Ringo Starr’s apartment in London in search of illegal drugs while John Lennon and Yoko Ono were temporarily staying a the place — but the two were one step ahead of the police they had already wiped the apartment clean of any drugs weeks before the authorities came.

Sergeant Pilcher failing to caught Lennon and Ono on the act — he next targetted George Harrison where on they raided his home on the same day Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman. Harrison’s wife Pattie Boyd was there when Pilcher entered with drug-sniffing dogs.

 

Arrested for Sinsemilla in Sweden on August 10, 1972

In 1972, he and his wife Linda were arrested for possession of marijuana in Sweden — but McCartney didn’t serve jail time and paid a fine of $2,000.

 

Spank in Scotland on March 8, 1973

After paying the fine of two grand in Sweden, they again found themselves, Paul and Linda, another trouble when the police found a few cannabis plants on their in Scotland.

 

Linda Takes the Fall in L.A. on March 2, 1975

After being busted two times on two different countries, Linda still didn’t learn her lessons — they got themselves again busted in L.A. for possession after beating the red light in their primo 1974 Lincoln Continental.

 

Paul Takes Jay Tokenstein to Japan on January 16, 1980

Paul thought Japanese cops were different from Sweden, Scotland and the United States — he got busted for more than 200 grams of pot upon his arrival with Wings for a tour. 

 

The Brown Frown in Barbados on January 16, 1984

Barbados is one of the most beautiful islands there is, but that doesn’t you can do whatever you like to do — Paul and Linda bought some skunk on the beach and got arrested for it but were released immediately and never spent any time in jail this time.

 

An Eighth in England on January 17, 1984

The next day after being arrested at Barbados — Linda was arrested at Heathrow Airport for the pot conviction in Barbados. She was hauled away to the police station while Paul was able to share his thoughts about why pot isn’t as dangerous as other legal drugs during a “walk and talk” interview with the press.
