The Most Overplayed Song In Rock History! But, Totally Worth It!

“Stairway To Heaven” was and still is the biggest classic rock song of all time by Led Zeppelin. The absolute joy you get by hearing this song is indescribable. Listening to it may take you out of your comfort zone.

Out of nowhere, Robert Plant wrote the song’s lyrics on the spot. It’s like something else was controlling his hand and mind during that time. It has also been said that the song was created with the help of evil spirits or demons and if you somehow listen to it backwards there are subliminal messages that you will hear (and then suddenly, by doing so, you’ve wasted a lot of your time with no chance of getting it back). So, keeping that kind of thought intact in your mind is kind of a creepy thing.

Jimmy Page on writing the songs…

“We were routining Stairway To Heaven and it was tricky going through it without having any verses to it. And while were going through it and everyone was learning it, Robert [Plant] was writing lyrics in the same room on his pad. And he eventually came to the mike and started singing, and it was, like, ‘Wow, we’re really onto something here, cos his lyrics are superb on it.”

Jimmy Page keeps it real classy while breaking down the creation of “Stairway To Heaven” in this interview revealing on how they put it all together…

Isn’t he the coolest guy on the planet, or what???
