REO Speedwagon Back On Rock Charts

REO Speedwagon celebrates their unexpected comeback to the Billboard rock charts after appearing on Netflix crime drama Ozark. 

The band cameo in the episode titled Kevin Cronin Was Here — named after the group’s frontman. They appeared right towards the end of episode 3 of Ozark’s Season 3, playing the track Time For Me To Fly from their 1978 album You Can Tune A Piano, But You Can’t Tuna Fish.

The group’s cameo on the Netflix crime drama led their track along with another three songs returning back into the charts.

This includes Keep On Loving You at #10, Can’t Fight This Feeling enters at #13, while Time For Me To Fly at #15, and Take It On The Run at #16. 

Just recently, Cronin appeared on AXS TV to talk about the current lockdown and the group’s appearance, with him also paying tribute to late John Prine who died due to coronavirus. 

He said: “One of the things we just did that was kinda fun over the past week was our little episode of Ozark came out. Check it out: Season three, episode three. You’ll see some familiar faces!

“We were down there on set and everyone was so cool.”

REO Speedwagon are just one of the many major artists who were forced to reschedule their spring tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The North American shows will now be rescheduled later in the year.
