Bob Dylan with his second No. 1 record consecutively in the US (No. 4 UK) with Blood On The Tracks. While the record’s single “Tangled Up In Blue” would peak at No. 31 in the US. 

 

3. The Release Of Physical Graffiti

Legendary Led Zeppelin releases their sixth record Physical Graffiti. The two-record set peaks No.1 in both the US & UK charts.

 

4. The Release Of Toys In The Attic

The hard rock band Aerosmith from Boston release their third album, Toys In The Attic, which peaked at No. 11 in the US charts. And would also achieve their first US Top 40 hit with “Sweet Emotion” No. 36 US. Following later in the year, the group would re-release the single “Dream On” which peaked at No. 6 in the US.

 

5. The Release Of One Of These Nights

The Eagles fourth album would be their first No. 1 hit in the US, No. 8 in the UK, and has achieved three top-five singles which include the No. 1 US title track “One Of These Nights”.
