Uh Oh, This Doesn’t Sound Good…

Can you honestly think of any other band besides the Rolling Stones that even in their “old age” are able to out-dance and out-perform virtually every other band in existence? Yeah, I can’t either. The Rolling Stones that we know today aren’t just iconic for their timeless music, but also for being a group of musicians in their 70s and being able to perform circles around all other bands. It really does seem like their never gonna retire.

That being said… During a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Keith was asked what his thoughts were regarding the many bands and artists announcing their farewell tours, and Keith was admittedly a little vague in his answer, but he did say something that has us a little worried. Here is what he had to say…

“Well, you can look at it either way. If you mean it, that’s the way it is. I just haven’t gotten around to thinking in that head yet. I don’t know if you never know. Maybe this will be the last one, I don’t know….”

Like I said, his answer is a little vague and he doesn’t really seem like he’s being all that serious, but nevertheless, you can’t help but worry a little. The last thing any of us really want to see is this legendary band call it quits.

If there’s any band that deserves a happy retirement it’s the Rolling Stones. Over the decades they have created a legacy that simply cannot matched and thus became one of THE single greatest rock bands ever because of it, and it’s all due to their non-stop work ethic.

I guess we as fans can only hope that the Rolling Stones will never officially retire, but as with anything in the world of rock & roll, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens…
