Can we just say, it’s about time someone thought of this! Don’t you just hate it when you go to a concert and you have a clearer view of someone else’s phone than the artist on stage? Besides, unless they’re professionals, no one will watch their crappy video.

So Jack White thought about that and decided to ban cellphones for his upcoming shows in the US. So yeah, say goodbye to your Facebook and Instagram LIVE. His official statement reads:

“No photos, video or audio recording devices allowed. We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON. You keep your pouch-secured phone on you during the show and, if needed, can unlock your phone at any time in a designated Yondr Phone Zone located in the lobby or concourse.”

He’s always been vocal about the use of cellphones during concerts and shows and we agree with him 100%. As mentioned, you can still bring your phone or other gadget but you have to put them inside a Yondr pouch. Thus, you won’t be able to access it in a restricted area.

This is pretty clever and we’re totally sold on this!
