The man arrested for allegedly setting fire to the Satanic Temple in Salem, Massachusetts, on Friday night in what he reportedly termed as a “hate crime” was scheduled to show up in court on Monday.

However, the arson was just brief. The individual was apprehended by police at the location of the alleged crime.

In the footage, a witness can be heard stating, “They tackled him right over there.”

The incident was initially reported on Twitter by Lucien Greaves, co-founder of the Satanic Temple.

“This holy crusader in a ‘GOD’ [T-shirt] just dumped an accelerant on The Satanic Temple headquarters and lit it on fire,” he wrote.

The individual, named Daniel Lucey, is presently facing accusations of arson, interference with civil rights, and destruction to a house of worship, as per the Boston Globe.

“The fire did not breach into the house. It remains to be determined how much of the area around the front of the house, and how much of the front porch will need to be replaced due to damage. The outpouring of support has been truly moving. Thank you, everybody,” Greaves stated in another tweet
