If this year has taught us anything, it’s that Metallica is loved by fans of all ages. Whether they were introduced to the San Francisco legends in the 1980s or heard Master Of Puppets for the first time in the most recent season of the sci-fi/horror TV series Stranger Things, fans of all ages can relate to the band.

One of their younger fans is seen busking in Cardiff while performing a Metallica tune in a newly released video, illustrating the group’s reach between generations. In a video uploaded by TikTok user Josh Blockwell, the long-haired boy is shown performing 1986’s Master of Puppets on guitar with what appears to be ease.

Blockwell writes in the caption.

“Out in Cardiff and saw a kid plug in his #paulgilbert signature and thought I’d stick around. Did not expect to stay there with my jaw on the floor while he hammered out Master of Puppets flawlessly!”.

Metallica themselves have taken notice of the outstanding cover and have left their approval in the form of a pair of devil horns in the comments.

Although the youngster’s name is presently unknown, one commenter who identified herself as his aunt claimed that the boy will be overjoyed to learn Metallica is supporting him.

Later, in a comment, she states:

“Just told my nephew you commented @metallica it’s made his day! Thank you.”

Probably soon a reaction video will appear. Watch the video below:
