Courtney Love took to her Instagram account last February 20 to share a sweet tribute to the late grunge legend Kurt Cobain on what would have been his 51st birthday.
The Hole singer shared a black-and-white photo of herself cuddling with her former husband with a simple caption, “happy birthday baby god I miss you.”

Cobain, who coped up with drug abuse and depression, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1994 at the age of 27, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten of grunge and rock influence after fronting Nirvana throughout the nineties.
Earlier this month, Love and Cobain’s 25-year old daughter Francis Bean revealed her own with substance abuse and took to her Instagram account posting a thoughtful message on her “second sober birthday.” She reflected on what it would mean to those who care for her.
“Self destruction, toxic consumption and deliverance from pain is a lot easier to adhere to. Undeniably, for myself and those around me choosing to be present is the best decision I have ever made,” she said
