We Bet It’s Gonna Be Epic!

Duff McKagan has recently announced that he will release his solo album in 2019. Produced by Shooter Jennings, this LP will serve as a follow-up to his 2015 book “How to Be a Man (And Other Illusions)” which was accompanied by a three-song EP. He worked on this in between tours with Guns ‘n Roses – yes, even with the hectic schedule, he managed to squeeze in recording sessions.

His work began last March at the Los Angeles’ Station House studios. And although there’s still no definite date as to when his new album will drop, he did say he’s already doing some “finishing touches” so maybe, just maybe, he’ll release it early next year.

“I wrote a couple of articles about historical places I passed through on this last tour and people kept asking if that was going to be the focus of my next book. But an unseen and irrepressible force guided me to write little vignettes of reflective prose…little instant-reactions.” – Duff McKagan

“The heartbreak, anger, fear, confusion and divide I have experienced over the last two and a half years of traveling this globe of ours coerced these words into songs that tell my truth, and one that I hope will spread and help us all. I do this for my daughters…I do this for my love of where I grew up…I do this, because I truly feel it must be done and said right now.” – Duff McKagan

Guns ‘n Roses “Not in This Lifetime” Tour has already ended last December 8 with their final gig set in Honolulu, Hawaii. And it’s still unclear what their next step is following such massive success of their tour.

McKagan has previously worked on two solo albums – one of which was left unreleased.

We’re pretty sure his new music is gonna be awesome!
