Guns N’ Roses have canceled their upcoming European shows for their ongoing Not In This Lifetime tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The European series was scheduled to kick off in Lisbon, Portugal on May 20 and end in Dublin, Ireland on June 27.
“GN’R Fam: Sadly, the upcoming European tour will not be happening,” announced the band. “Things are changing daily and we want to keep our fans, crew members and band safe. We are working hard with our promoters, venues and cities/countries on next steps and will make further announcements as soon as we can.
“Thank you for your patience, we will get through this together and look forward to seeing you all very soon…”
Guns N’ Roses last played a show at the Vive Latino Festival in Mexico City last March 14; the festival made it to the headlines when many acts canceled their appearance over COVID-19 scares while local officials allowed the events to proceed despite calls for the festival to be stopped during the global pandemic crisis.
GN’R planned to reschedule for a series of Central and South American shows and are set to begin in November.
