It is difficult to imagine that a discreet man had a place in that wild rock monster called Led Zeppelin; however, that was the case with bassist John Paul Jones, who with his natural talent for music gave the band a solid sonic foundation that catapulted it to immortality.

While Robert Plant made an impact with his voice charged with sexuality, Jimmy Page offered marathon guitar solos and John Bonham hit the drums with the force of an animal, Jones preferred to get away from the spotlight, take his bass and do what he did best.

Jones’ most prominent works are found in pieces such as The Lemon Song, Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir, No Quarter, Since I’ve Been Loving You, Ramble On, In the Evening, Good Times Bad Times, Rock and Roll and Stairway to Heaven; just to name a few.
