After his son’s engagement news with Millie Bobby Brown, Jon Bon Jovi has finally broken his silence on the matter. The world was abuzz with excitement when the Stranger Things star announced her engagement to Jake Bongiovi on social media.
“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”

After Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s engagement announcement, some people criticized the couple for being too young to get engaged. They argued that at 19 and 20 years old, they are too young to know who they are and that they should have waited a little longer. However, Jake’s father, Jon Bon Jovi, addressed the topic on Andy Cohen Live and expressed that age doesn’t matter as long as the couple finds the right partner and grows together.
“I don’t know if age matters if you find the right partner and you grow together. That would be my advice: Growing together is wise. So, I think all my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with, and we like them all.”
“Millie’s wonderful. Her whole family are great. Jake is very, very happy.”
The criticism towards Millie and Jake’s engagement is unwarranted as it’s their life, and they have the right to make their own decisions. Time is subjective, and if the couple is content with their plans, they should not be judged. Interestingly, Ariana Grande’s comment on a post from 2018, in which Millie was 14 years old, kissing her ex-boyfriend, Jacob Sartorius, has resurfaced, where she remarked that she wasn’t allowed to leave the house until she was 20.
