This Is Gonna Be Epic!

2019 is gonna be one busy year for Dave Mustaine as he leads the “2019 Experience Hendrix Tour” lineup along with Joe Satriani. The all-star concert will kick off on March 3, 2019 and end on April 6, 2019. Several guests will be performing including Dweezil Zappa, Eric Johnson, Jonny Lang, Taj Mahal, Doug Pinnick, Chris Layton, and former Hendrix bassist Billy Cox who played for both The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys.

This tour is in celebration of the legendary Jimi Hendrix and his unforgettable, groundbreaking and innovative music. If anything, this makes us miss him more. But it’s always wonderful to see other iconic musicians paying homage to this guitar god who remains to be influential in the rock ‘n roll world.

This all began back in 2000 as a tribute show at The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and eight years later, it’s no longer just a one-off thing but a series of concerts to commemorate Hendrix’s legacy. It’s Mustaine’s Experience Hendrix debut and we’re more than excited to see him deliver the goods.

Jimi Hendrix. The name that comes to my mind as one the ‘Premiere American Guitarists of All Time.’ An Innovator, and legendary musician, I am beyond honored to do my part in this tribute to the immortal Jimi Hendrix, and want to thank [EH Tour producer] John McDermott for inviting me to play along such mind-blowing guitarists as Joe Satriani, and a personal favorite of mine, Eric Johnson. See you there!” – Dave Mustaine

There will be a total of 30 shows on the tour with each show lasting for three hours. That’s hours of nothing but mind-blowing, jaw-dropping, spine-chilling Hendrix tunes. Talk about pure entertainment!
