My Chemical Romance and Metallica will headline Aftershock Festival 2021, as confirmed by the first poster announcement.
Both bands were due to top the list in the 2020 edition before it was moved to a year later due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The festival plans to return between October 7-10, 2021 in Sacramento, California’s Discovery Park, if the global health crisis allows. Promoters have said that necessary social distancing guidelines will be followed at the festival.
Rancid, Social Distortion, Machine Gun Kelly, Suicidal Tendencies, L7, Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, and more will also be performing at the event. Metallica will present two unique sets over the four days of the festival, while an unannounced reunion performance will come from a secret guest on the day that My Chemical Romance headlines.
