Mick Fleetwood Admits He Lost Two Years Because Of Cocaine After Rumors Success

Mick Fleetwood, drummer for Fleetwood Mac revealed that because of his drug use, there are two years of his life that he cannot remember. As he explained, the use of cocaine kept him from working for years.

According to the musician, there was a period “long after” making the iconic 1977 album ‘Rumors’ in which he did not work for two years and has no recollection of his life during that period.

“I’m not minimalising that we were partaking in that lifestyle,” he clarifies. But, again, these weren’t a bunch of people crawling along the floor with green froth coming out of their mouths. We were working, y’know?”

“But that went on for a long, long time… It got out of hand way after the making of Rumours. I remember not working for two years. I can’t even remember what I did. I was the party animal in the band for sure. I would venture to say that Stevie [Nicks] was a close second.”

In the interview, he confirmed that he was the “party boy” of the band, but described that the band singer, Stevie Nicks was in “a close second”.
