The big time Youtube show by the Fine Brothers, “The React” series showcases reactions to different bands and artists from children, teens, and elderly. Recently, the series featured an episode featuring kids reacting to the music of legendary rock band Mötley Crüe. In the past, the series featured react videos on other big rock stars such as AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Queen, Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In the episode, Mötley Crüe founder Tommy Lee was made to watch the kids reacting to the craziness of the band and their music. Even their haircuts were a source of curiosity for the young audience. Seeing Tommy Lee reacting to the kids’ reactions to his band resulted in one amusing video, and pretty funny to watch too.
One of the kids even asked, “I’m confused, is it a boy or a girl?” which made Lee laugh saying, “The story of our lives.” Not all reactions amused Lee though. One older kid commented that the band was a “rip off KISS”, to which Lee scoffed and joked that the kid is a “hipster in training”.
Overall, it seems like Tommy Lee was pretty impressed by the kids reactions, even praising them saying that the kids have mature reactions for their ages.
He even adds, “There’s nothing cooler than playing a show, and seeing these aged kids on their dads’ shoulders, doing this [gives horns]”, in response to the kids’ amazement at Lee’s rotating drumset.
Tommy Lee commented on how stale rock music has become over the years, but is overwhelmed by the kids reaction to his timeless band.
