Nick Mason revealed his Bob Dylan favorite album of all time in an interview he gave to Classic Albums Sundays in 2018. The drummer and co-founder of Pink Floyd shine for his eclecticism as he leaned towards a little more with a folk imprint during the conversation.
Perhaps the reason behind the breadth of his tastes is that the Briton grew up in a fairly cultural home and listened to all kinds of music from a very young age. In fact, at the age of 16, he formed his first band called Stigma 6: it could be said that it was a primitive version of Pink Floyd since he played there with Richard Wright, Bob Klose, and Roger Waters in 1964.
Mason’s respect for Bob Dylan became more than clear, as he chose the album “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” his favorite Bob Dylan album of all time. The drummer had always considered Dylan as the best rock songwriter in the history of music.
