That’s Beyond Amazing

Queen’s enduring cultural influence only shows that they’re one-of-a-kind and their music transcends generations. When their biopic dropped last November in the US, it was all people could talk about. There were critics, sure, but it received generally positive reviews and was a huge box office hit.

Even teens were researching more about Queen and their music. And that in turn gave another boost to the epic masterpiece that is “Bohemian Rhapsody” – the band’s 1975 classic hit. At the time of its release, it was a massive success – not only was it a commercial hit but it also topped the charts for several weeks.

And like only Queen can, the song managed to re-enter Billboard Hot 100 for the third time! It broke the chart at #33. The last time it was in the Billboard Hot 100 was back in 1992 when it peaked at #2 after the premiere of another film “Wayne’s World.”

Not surprisingly, this is pretty rare even for the greatest artists to ever walk the earth. Besides, the chart visits happened on three different decades! This makes it extra special – putting “Bohemian Rhapsody” on the same league as Prince’s “1999,” “Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and some Christmas tunes.

“It’s one of those songs which has such a fantasy feel about it. I think people should just listen to it, think about it, and then make up their own minds as to what it says to them.” – Freddie Mercury

Even their music video is getting around a million views a day since the movie came out!

So it’s been quite a year for Queen – their songs, their music video, their soundtrack album and of course, their biopic – all of these only proved that they remain unrivaled even up to this day. We may have lost Freddie Mercury but his music will live on.
