He Deserves An Oscar!

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon guest star Rami Malek to do an interview regarding his incredible transformation as Queen’s frontman Freddie Mercury for the biopic film “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

At first, he shared his disappointing experience with the series Mr. Robot, but regardless of what he’s been through with the show, he is still very much thankful for the many opportunities it has given him — including the role as Freddie Mercury in the Queen Biopic film.

“And you got an Emmy for that as well,” host Jimmy Fallon said.

Fallon also shared his thoughts by praising the performance of the actor of how incredibly he interpreted Mercury and how accurate he was, from the attitude, charisma, to manners and looks.

“I had these teeth that I wear and the first time I put them in my mouth I felt incredibly insecure,” Malek regarding his transformation, later adding, “Then I found myself compensating, sitting straight, more elegant. You really start to think… these are the reasons why he is who he is.”

Malek also talked about he experienced the iconic 1985 Live Aid concert was. It was the very first scene the producers wanted to shoot. They persuade him to do the shoot by intimidation considering how legendary the rock performance was:

Malek said,

“When I got the call for day two, it was like winning an Oscar.”

“I told them, ‘Listen, guys, I’m not going to be the Hollywood actor that sells myself here — I don’t play the piano, I don’t think I’m a singer, I have a very unusual way of dancing and that’s the closest I can get to Freddie Mercury.’ I think they thought, here’s a humble actor for once,” while laughing.

After their conversation, the two played a hilarious game called “A-to-Z,” where they test their knowledge in music by taking turns on a conversation regarding their favorite bands alphabetically.
