In a recent interview with People, Richie Sambora, former guitarist for Bon Jovi, hinted at the potential for a reunion with the iconic band. Speaking at the Breeders’ Cup in Arcadia, California, Sambora revealed ongoing discussions with Jon Bon Jovi about the prospect of getting back together, sparking excitement among fans worldwide.

Reflecting on the profound impact of Bon Jovi’s music

Sambora expressed,

“I think that we wrote a lot of songs that changed a lot of people’s lives just by letting them have a good time. I know that’s what music did to me… kept me company. And I hope that I can reflect that in what I do.”

Addressing the possibility of reuniting with the other band members, Sambora stated,

“So yeah, it definitely could happen. It’s just a question of when everybody’s ready to go do it. It will be a big, massive kind of undertaking.”

He emphasized the readiness and enthusiasm among the members.

He shared,

“It’s time to do it, though. This is our 40th anniversary, but I feel younger than ever. I’m having a ball.” [QUOTE]

This isn’t the first time Sambora has expressed his openness to reuniting with Bon Jovi. In an interview with ‘Nights With Alice Cooper,’ he had previously conveyed his willingness to join the band again. Speaking about the ongoing discussions with Jon Bon Jovi, Sambora confirmed,

“We’re talking about it. Yeah, it’s that [talking on the phone with Jon Bon Jovi], there’s a demand out there for it, you know, especially outside of the USA. I mean, we were a larger band [also] outside our own country and gladly.”

Sambora’s departure from Bon Jovi in 2013, following the release of ‘Because We Can,’ marked a significant moment in the band’s history. He decided to step away to spend more time with his family, leaving fans longing for his return. Since then, Sambora has collaborated on new projects with his girlfriend, Orianthi, releasing EPs like ‘Rise’ and ‘Making History,’ as well as the album ‘Radio Free America’ in May 2018.
