Legendary singer Robert Plant announces the release of the Digging Deep: Subterranea compilation. The project brings together 30 classics covering four decades of work, including three new tracks.
Digging Deep features tracks that marked each of the 11 solo albums from Robert Plant’s successful solo career.
The highlights of the collection are Hurting Kind, Shine It All Around, I Believe, alongside the new songs Nothing Takes the Place of You (written by New Orleans musician Toussaint McCall and recorded for the acclaimed 2013 film, Winter In The Blood), Charlie Patton Highway (Turn It Up – Part 1), taken from the forthcoming album Band of Joy Volume 2 and a spectacular duet version of the song Too Much Alike, a classic rockabilly by Charley Feathers with Patty Griffin.
Plant is accompanied throughout Digging Deep by a truly remarkable lineup of musicians, including Jimmy Page, Buddy Miller, Patty Griffin, Phil Collins, Nigel Kennedy, Richard Thompson, and the brothers, Strange Sensation / The Sensational Space Shifters.
