Finally, The Flaming Lips carried out their idea of holding a concert with the public inside giant bubbles. The concert took place in Oklahoma City, where both the band and the audience participated in this unusual performance.
Will it be the concerts in the future? The new concert of the American band was held due to the current conditions due to the coronavirus pandemic. In this, both the members of Flaming Lips and the attendees witnessed the concert inside giant inflatable bubbles. Thus, the idea that the leader Wayne Coyne had planned materializes.
And it is that Coyne had been advancing this idea since the beginning of the pandemic: “We think maybe playing two shows a night, and getting a big audience in there each time,” he said, adding, “The place that we’re at at the moment, it holds almost 4,000 people, but it only holds a hundred space bubbles. So it’s a lot of space in there.”

These bubbles are nothing new to the band. In search of an extrasensory experience, the musicians had included it in previous concerts. However, this is the first concert where the public also uses them, all seeking to comply with sanitary rules.
