The Last Perfomance Of Tom Petty With Stevie Nicks

Tom and Stevie began their friendship after reuniting in 1978 and worked together on the 1981 single “Insider”, which appeared on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ album. Hard promises, according to Insider. Later that year, the two got together for one last time for the song “Stop Draggin ‘My Heart Around”, a duo that appeared on the Fleetwood Mac star’s debut album.

The last time the two performed the iconic song together was July 9, 2017, in London’s Hyde Park, as part of Petty’s 40th anniversary tour.

“You know Tom Petty is my favorite rock star!” Stevie exclaimed to the crowd from the stage, adding that she would remember the night “for the rest of my life,”

Stevie has appeared on stage during several of the Heartbreakers’ concert tours, including Hard Promises in 1981, Rock a Little in 1986, and his Road Partner Tour in 2006. Tom also helped inspire one of the most popular songs. Stevie’s “Edge of Seventeen.”
