The Rolling Stones was and continues to be one of the most famous and controversial today. Its singer, Mick Jagger, became famous not only for his voice and style but also for his carefree and transgressive attitude. Today, he is a legendary figure in the music world who continues to give a lot to talk about and with millions of fans around the world.

Originally named Mike, he attended Maypole Primary and Wentworth Country Primary School, where he met his inseparable partner Keith Richards. He completed his secondary studies at the Dartford Grammar School and over time, his high grades got him a scholarship to enter the London School of Economics, to pursue a career. However, Mike changed his name to Mick’s, and together with Keith, they set about starting a rock band.

In 1962, they founded the group The Rolling Stones, along with Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, and Dick Taylor.

In the 1960s, Jagger’s group became very popular. The Rolling Stones were considered along with The Beatles, the best British band of the time. It used to be compared to both groups constantly.

In 1965, the band successfully established itself after releasing the song Satisfaction, which quickly became known in and out of Britain. It came to be at the top of the music charts of the moment for four weeks in a row.

In the 60s and 70s, The Rolling Stones triumphed with different singles. Their style was based on the old American blues that African Americans used to play, which they reinvented with touches of rock n ‘roll, the favorite genre of the time.

Cinema has been another of his major concerns, so much so that he has acted and worked as a film producer. In 1970 he released the film Performance, which he starred in. In 1992, he also star in the film Freejack. That same year he created his own film company: Jagged Films. The first film he produced with it was Enigma.

Finally, in 2008 he collaborated with director Martin Scorcese to co-produce and write the script for Shine a light, a film starring in The Rolling Stones.

Among the awards he has received are two Grammy, as a soloist, and a Golden Globe. In 1989 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2004, in the Music Hall of Fame of the United Kingdom with the Rolling Stones. In short, at the end of 2003, he was invited to Buckingham Palace to be knighted of the British Empire, since then he has held the title of Sir Mick Jagger. He is a man very devoted to his children: Elizabeth Scarlett (1984), James Leroy Agustine (1985), and Georgia May (1992). Jagger had a relationship with fashion designer L’Wren Scott from 2001 to 2014, the year she decided to kill herself.
