Front to back, Bruce Springsteen’s classic album, “Born in the U.S.A.” remains the cornerstone of his career as it produced seven hit singles when it was released in 1984 and brought Springsteen’s into the limelight.

After becoming an international superstar, the rocker occasionally shared stories about the album and one of it was when the album leaned so much into the mainstream for his own tastes as a musician and as a songwriter.
