Metallica’s frontman, James Hetfield covered the classic Beatles, ‘In My Life’. He performed a solo acoustic version of the song accompanied by his guitar on May 15, 2014, in Fillmore, California on the occasion of the Acoustic 4 a Cure charity event.
“Acoustic-4-A-Cure” was founded by rock legends Sammy Hagar and James Hetfield, whose concept was to raise funds and awareness for the Pediatric Cancer Program at UCSF by inviting together some of their friends and launching a must-see performance for fans. In previous years, musicians such as Billie Joe Armstrong, Jerry Cantrell, Chad Smith, Joe Satriani, Nancy Wilson, and more have participated with Hagar and Hetfield to the benefit concerts.
