In Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Station, New York City, around 200 strangers and close friends experienced one of Paul McCartney’s secret surprise gigs he’s been doing to promote his newest album Egypt Station. Around 7:40pm, Paul arrived at the terminal, and he was gearing up to livestream his concert out on YouTube. Celebrity guests and friends were even present at the concert including multi-Oscar-award winning legendary actress Meryl Streep, rock n’ roll legend Jon Bon Jovi, comedienne Amy Schumer, actor Chris Rock, and late night host Jimmy Fallon. He opened the performance with him singing the first line “Hey Jude…” on camera, and the lucky audience singing back, “Don’t make it bad…”

Prior to the concert, there was much speculation on where Sir Paul McCartney was going to play his “secret”  show in NYC. On his appearance the previous night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he did drop some pretty obvious hints as to where he would do it.

It was a relatively intimate performance with the terminal packed and crowded. They were treated to Macca singing classics like “Can’t Buy Me Love” and “Let It Be” but also some of his solo work including tracks from his new album Egypt Station such as “Come On to Me,” “Who Cares” and “Fuh You”.
