The 1976 classic, “Fly Like An Eagle” performed recently by Steve Miller on NBC-TV’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon episode last October 9.
During his performance on the late-night show, he was joined by The Roots to play his classic track “Fly Like An Eagle” to promote as well, the October 11 release of a new career-spanning collection called, “Welcome To The Vault.”
He sat down with Fallon to talk about his latest project and his long career as a musician – including the story of his godfather, inventor of electric guitar Les Paul. He also shared how Les Paul taught him how to record and make records, while T-Bone Walker was his mentor on the guitar.
“Welcome To The Vault” consists of 52 audio tracks alongside 21 performance on DVD, also inclusive of a hundred-page book featuring Steve’s personal photos and a 9,000-word essay by Rolling Stone’s David Fricke.
The set will also feature 38 previously unreleased rarities on the 3CD/DVD collection, along with more studio and live material as well as unreleased songs dating back to the late 60s’.
