On the most recent installment of CBS This Morning’s Saturday Sessions, The Killers debuted their new track “Blowback,” from their anticipated delayed album Imploding the Mirage.
The group’s Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. also covered Tom Petty’s “The Waiting” from their studio in Utah.
The Killer had already performed Tom Petty’s classic hit before, after his passing in 2017. It was crammed with emotion, and now, performing it once more, the group finally able to bring the song in pure joy.
The band’s upcoming album, Imploding the Mirage, was scheduled to be released on May 29th but has been pushed back and the new date is yet to announced because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Killer has also recently released the single “Fire in the Bone” while last week, they were one of the many artists who participated in Lady Gaga’s One World: Together At Home concert.
