Wolfgang Van Halen, son of the recently deceased Eddie Van Halen, spoke to clarify some rumors that have appeared these days about an alleged plan to move forward with Van Halen replacing Eddie.
A shared posting from a Wolfgang fan page hinted “there is a good strong possibility that the band is not over (like it or not) this is the word that is being talked at the VH camp. ”
“Sammy Hagar: Vocals, Michael Anthony: Bass Guitar, Alex Van Halen: Percussion and Wolfgang Van Halen on guitar. It has been mentioned that Eddie Van Halen told his son and brother, ‘I give you my blessing……'”
The musician, who in the last stage of the band had officiated as bassist, described these versions as a “sh*tty lie”. All this had come from a fan page, where it was also speculated with the return of Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, but Wolfgang was emphatic in establishing that these falsehoods “attempting to capitalize on these awful times. Please stop with this. Anyone peddling this sh*t is not only hurting the fans, but hurting me and my family.”
All clear then, there is no plan for Van Halen to follow after the loss of its guitarist, founder, and leader.
This is just a shitty lie attempting to capitalize on these awful times. Please stop with this.
Anyone peddling this shit is not only hurting the fans, but hurting me and my family. https://t.co/YqJKBaqpjy
