OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA is a great song, and John Lennon is not the final say. You see if you (just like me) liked the song, then there’s nothing to be ashamed of it. You know it, and we know it that Paul did his best for this song.
And that’s the nice thing about the Beatles, you can be in two different moods when you listen to them. John Lennon mode, or other times for Paul.
A fun interesting fact about the OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA in Paul McCartney’s Biography by Barry Miles:
Paul knew a guy in a club he used to hang out, and this guy used to say “Ob la di, ob la da, life goes on.” Paul loved this little phrase and wrote the song based on it.
What you’re about to watch below is a cover of the song where you will find yourself obsessed with it, like you can watch it 10 times and won’t get fed up. There’s a lot into it, she sure got a hell of a voice, and definitely creative. What’s more surprising is that she’s a multi-instrumentalist, doing the cover playing the instruments herself, but with the help of technology, of course. The style of this cover is soooo good that you’ll definitely gonna love it.
